We’re looking for people who are willing to learn and make time for the department.
Come to a Thursday meeting, meet our members, and ask questions. You don’t need previous firefighting experience to get started.

What volunteering involves
Training, calls, and station work.
There’s work to do between calls, too. Members take part in training, help around the station, and pitch in at department events. Regular participation matters.

Listen to the people working with you, follow instructions, and look out for one another.
Help with the work
Help with station duties and department events as well as training and calls. Ask where you’re needed.

What to know before you visit.
Do I need firefighting experience?
No. You can come to us without firefighting experience.
How much time would I need to give?
We meet every Thursday at 7 p.m., and members also help with calls and department work. Tell us about your schedule so we can talk through what you can commit to.
Can I help without responding to emergencies?
There may be ways to help with fundraising, events, or work around the station. Ask us what help is needed.
What are the membership requirements?
Be willing to show up regularly, learn, and do your share of the work. We’ll go over the membership process with you when you visit or contact us.
Can I visit the station?
Yes. Come by for our Thursday meeting at 7 p.m. at 7912 Wren Road, San Angelo, TX 76901. Please email first if you want to visit at another time.
